The Impossible to Pick Up EP is Gozer's third collaboration with producer Josiah Manning (currently riding high in the UK as a member of the Kris Barras Band) . Josiah lends his abundant musical talents to this record too, and his bass, keyboard and percussion skills can be heard throughout.

Also lending his skills to this record: mandolin master Davey Dodds, former lead singer of prog-rock band Red Jasper (and writer of the famous song 'Magpie', amongst many others). Davey crops up for a mandolin cameo at the end of the track 'The Key Broke off Clean in the Lock'.

This record was inspired by a series of events both significant and mundane that took place in Gozer's life outside of music. It also reflects his desire to expand his sound into territory that he had not previously explored - hence the more psychedelic edges to these songs.
